You can play music, videos and photos from the internet right on your big screen television and even listen to thousands of radio stations through Live365. The WD TV Live HD media player also supports a number of leading online content services such as YouTube, Flickr and Pandora.

Easily access files

The Western Digital TV HD media player comes with an Ethernet port which connects it to your home network via a wired connection or via supported WiFi adapters which can be purchased separately. With this you can play content from all the popular USB drives, camcorders, digital cameras and any portable media players as long as they can be recognized as mass storage devices. There is really no limit to the size of media collection because you can add more USB drives to create more space. In fact the WD TV Live media library feature can collect the content from all the drives and put them together in one list that is sorted according to media type.

Simple user interface

The Western Digital Media Player comes with a special remote control that makes it possible to easily navigate through internet resources by use of DVD-like navigation which equally supports subtitles, track modes and video chapters. The HDMI port allows you to connect to high quality HDTV or home theatre while the composite (RCA) and component output ensures that the WD Digital media player is compatible with nearly all TV sets. The best surround experience is achieved through the optical output which sends digital signals to the AV receiver. Wireless network is also supported with an optional USB wireless adapter.

Advanced navigation
The advanced navigation feature makes it possible to navigate files in form of lists, thumbnails and video previews. You can actually preview videos as you browse through your content. And thanks to the advanced media library, you can view your media by type in one menu or even use the search function to look for media by file name regardless of where the folders are located.

Photos and playback

The Western Digital media player allows you to view photos in diverse ways including slide shows accompanied with background music. The photo viewer function supports zoom and pan functions while the music playback feature includes important functionalities such as fast forward, pause, repeat, shuffle and rewind.

The package box contains the WD TV Live Media Player and all the important accessories such as the composite AV cable, compact remote with batteries, installer CD, quick install guide, AC adapter and component cable.
